ELECTION TIME!
Every year, the Tai Chi Club elects Board Members to operate the Club. A Board position is very rewarding. You help make decisions that will keep the club going and growing, and you work with very interesting people.
Whilst there is no remuneration for this job, you will enjoy personal gratification and will be greatly appreciated by all of the members. It does not matter if you have not served on a Board before; there will always be someone to help you. Remember, we all have one thing in common, we love Tai Chi!
According to our by-laws, we need at least a President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary (the Treasurer and Secretary can be a combined position), on the Executive Board. Ideally, five to eight Board members make a great team. Not only to we have a variety of skill sets, experience, and willingness to serve, but no one is overwhelmed as we all help each other out. Over and above these positions we need Members at Large to help in organizing special events, setting up the class schedules, putting flyers together, updating the website, sending get-well and sympathy cards to members, putting together newsletters, and many other interesting activities. Consider joining our team by putting your name forward for any of the following positions or let your name stand as a Member-At-Large.
